When you recommend a post a few things happen:

• Your name gets added to the list of Xangans who recommended the post.
• The owner of the post gets a notification saying that you recommended his or her post.
• Your friends and subscribers see a link to that post in their universal inbox.

We are working on a module for themes that displays the recommendations you've made and we have plans to display the most recommended items along with the most starred ones on the main weblog page.
