    Themes

Themes is the new system for Xanga sites.

Sites using the Themes system are based on movable, customizable modules. You do not need any HTML knowledge to create a theme; you simply add, move, edit and remove modules as well as use the Theme Remixer panel to adjust appearance settings (color, layout, dimensions, etc.).

If you don't feel like getting your hands dirty, you can also use pre-made themes by others. A huge list of themes can be found at the Themes Directory, where users share the themes that they have made.

New sites created today start with the Themes system.

    Look and Feel

Look and Feel is the older system.

The Look and Feel system is based on HTML and CSS coding; it can be customized with relatively little to no HTML knowledge and is the most basic of account designs.

Any site that does not use the new Themes system will use Look and Feel. For sites that use Themes, the Themes system can be turned off; the site will then revert back to Look and Feel.

Skins is another older system, available only to Premium users.

Skins give you complete, custom control over the look of your public homepage. If you know a little HTML, then you can create your own skin from scratch.

I just got my new Xanga and I used to do it a long time ago! so I decided to do it again and make a new one and I don't like the themes, I want the Look and Feel system for mine how do I do that again? How can I just copy a layout code from someone and then use that layout? and not the themes?

You'll have to switch back to look & feel first. FAQ: http://help.xanga.com/topic/i-dont-want-to-use-themes-how-can-i-get-my-look-and-feel-back

Then you can just paste the codes and stuff, but make sure not to delete the credits to the creator of the layout! :D
