They certainly did not just delete everything. Not on purpose anyway. You should have a link at the top of your dashboard that allows you to download your blog archive. All your post are in that, just in a special format. If you're not willing to subscribe, you'll probably have to find another blog host that allows you to import the blog. All the best.
In order to keep blogging, it looks like you have to:
1) Download your blog archive (a .zip of .xml files).
2) Pay for a subscription to Xanga 2.0, have financially supported Xanga 2.0 relaunch, or have paid for Xanga Premium.
3) Find the Tools link on the Dashboard page and import your blog archiveI you, like me, have never given Xanga a dime, and aren't going to now, at least you have access to your blog posts saved in the blog archive.
Here's more info:
Your blog will not be available to be hosted on Xanga unless you pay a subscription fee. If you wish to remain with Xanga, and have not purchased a subscription you can do so here: https://xanga.crowdhoster.com/relaunch-xangaIf you do not wish to pay the yearly subscription and wish to move to another blog hosting service -- the process is fairly simple. Your blog archive is in a WXR format. Wordpress.com makes the transition simple in that regard. If you have made an account on Wordpress.com follow these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
Other hosting services may have different requirements, and you may need to look for conversion tools or copy/paste the entries manually. -
I've tried to pull it over to wordpress.com but it doesnt work. Xanga is making us pay now? Come on! All I wanted to do is read my profile I don't care about signing in. BS

I do not have the option to import my blog. I'm in a panic mode right now, I feel like I've lost several years of writing. I just created a WordPress account but it hasn't done me any good. I'm so confused! When the hell did this happen? I never got an e-mail about these changes!

@kingmaryhenry- Hello! I just checked out your site, and noticed that your blog didn't meet the criteria we had for generating a blog archive:
http://kingmaryhenry.xanga.com/That said, we still have the original hard drives with old blogs on them and are looking into plugging them in and generating new archives for older blogs like yours.
Let us know if you're interested!
