Of course, I have been in the hospital and health related issues that kept me away from my computer ecept for limited access on my phone, for the past 3 months and in that 3 months xanga decides to change everything.
I have over 10 years worth of blogs that are just gone now, and I was a premium member for many years and have 2 xanga accounts.
I would really like to be a member again, but it says on the link that it's expired. When I tried to download the backup files, nothing happened. I am on a Mac, so perhaps that is why, but this really is devistating to me.
Just because I wasn't active in signing in, doesn't mean I wasn't active in reading old posts. I feel like someone burned my diary and would really like an answer and help. I don't know why I didn't receive an email, but perhaps it's an old email address.

Now you have a copy of your blog posts on your own computer. Now you can do one of two things:
1. Upload your archives to another site that's compatible with your blog archives.
WordPress.com is one such free site... more information on how to import your archives into WP here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-xanga/
2. Upgrade your account to Xanga 2.0, and stay on Xanga.
You can use PayPal (can also pay via credit card through this page) to purchase a one-year membership for Xanga 2.0: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=WSTANQDA9BAC2If you could forward your Paypal confirmation email along with your username to help@xanga.net, we will get your site upgraded ASAP.
Thanks,
