Hello! I just checked out your site, and noticed that your blog didn't meet the criteria we had for generating a blog archive: http://footguards26.xanga.com/.
That said, we still have the original hard drives with old blogs on them and are looking into plugging them in and generating new archives for older blogs like yours.
No need to do anything. Thanks for your patience as we work on migrating over more archives!
Also, in the meantime one of my programmers said that you might want to see if http://archive.org captured your site. All you have to do is type in the blog address in the Wayback Machine portion.

I want to read my old posts! I really liked the old xanga layout. I would spend hours designing my site. What happened?

I would like to know if it's possible to restore my old blog posts. Thank you.

I would like the option to restore mine. I think that's something you should have dealt with first. Original blogs being able to convert over should have been first priority.

@friday_emily- Your blog posts for http://friday-emily.xanga.com/ are saved and available for a free download!
You can download them by signing in here: http://xanga.com/wp-login.php
When you have a copy of your blog posts on your own computer, you can do one of two things:
1. Upload your archives to another site that's compatible with your blog archives.
WordPress.com is one such free site... more information on how to import your archives into WP here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-xanga/
2. Upgrade your account to Xanga 2.0, and continue blogging on Xanga.
You can use PayPal (can also pay via credit card through this page) to purchase a one-year membership for Xanga 2.0: http://bit.ly/1dcERujIf you choose this option please forward your Paypal confirmation email along with your username to help@xanga.net, we will get your site upgraded ASAP.
Thanks,

I'm curious as to how long this process is supposed to take. You've been "looking into plugging these old hard drives in" for over a year now, and I'm still seeing nothing. Providing everyone with the same default, copy and paste, cookie-cutter answer isn't helping. Instead of "looking into it," has anyone actually done anything about it?

How do I know for sure if my blog qualified or not and if it didn't is there any way to get a copy from you since you still have the hard drives?
