• My blog is missing

I'm not a premium member, but how can I get my blog back? Or at least get the posts so I can keep it elsewhere? Thanks.

  • I don't know. Can someone help me also? I lost all of my posts and I want them back.

  • Mine as well, and the information I'm reading is all over the place - I'm not sure if I qualify for an automatic blog archive generation. I think they're in the process of doing it as their blog says:

So maybe we have to wait a while and see what happens? Does anyone know?

  • If you are not a premium member or donated to Xanga, then your blog will not be accessible by you to use on Xanga anymore, but you should have access to your archive. Xanga 2.0 has moved to be a paid-subscription model only. If you would like to remain blogging with Xanga then you must pay a subscription fee: https://xanga.crowdhoster.com/relaunch-xanga

Free users on Xanga will only have accounts and can only comment on blogs that have paid a subscription fee.

If you would like to move your blog from Xanga onto another bloghosting platform that provides free membership you can download a copy of your blog archive and upload it to another provider. Navigate to your Xanga dashboard and click on archives -- from there you can download it. The file(s) will be in a ZIP folder and you'll need to extract them. From there, you can choose to import it to whichever hosting platform you choose. Wordpress.com for instance makes the process very simple: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

  • Thanks cagey. The problem is I tried that already, but no yellow bar or any link to my archives. There's nothing. I'm pretty sure I qualified as an archivable blog - I have signed in within the last 5 years and I have some subscribers (though maybe not 2). I am wondering if I have to wait longer for the archive, or that my blog simply isn't there any more.
