• Expired membership and two more questions

    Hi,

I see on my xanga that "It looks like your Xanga subscription expired on October 31st, 2014. Your site will remain active, but you will be unable to create, edit, or delete your blog entries."

Do I need to pay another 1 year membership annual fee? If so, could you provide me the link for payment?

Secondly, I find on my dashboard that at the "Site Status" there is an option "Basic Account" except "Expired Blogging Membership" and "Shutdown".

What does it mean by Basic Account? Does it mean I can still use xanga, for blogging, with a non-2.0 less function blogging mode?

And lastly, is there any function that I can turn my xanga site all into private?

(I mean temporarily switching my site status to a private mode so that no one can reach and read, not merely those entries that are already set to be private by me manually)

    Thank you.

  • Same with mine.

    Where can I resubscribe

As per the update (http://thexangateam.xanga.com/2014/10/01/update/), I added 6 free months to your subscription so your new expiration date is 5/1/2015.

When your subscription expires you can pay for another year of service here: http://bit.ly/1dcERuj

If you choose to do this please forward your Paypal confirmation email along with your username to help@xanga.net, we will get your site upgraded ASAP.

There are currently two types of accounts you can have on Xanga -an upgraded account which allows you to comment, blog and subscribe to other Xanga accounts. And the other is a user account (or basic) account which only allows you to comment and read other people's public Xanga accounts.

You can change the privacy setting to your site by going to your dashboard and then clicking "Advanced" on the left hand side. From there please click "privacy settings" and add the lock of your choice to your blog. If you wish to make all your blog posts private without a lock on your blog you will need to edit each post to "private".

    Thanks for supporting Xanga!
