Exabot is known to ignore robots.txt
It's the spider for the search engine Exalead.http://www.exalead.com/search/web/results/?q=invert+trevni
There you go; Mike IS showing up in exalead's search results.
To Xanga: The address is 193.47.80.42 or crawl6.exabot.com

BUMP
Any updates? I'm still getting visits from exabot.

Hi Mike,
It's possible that exabot is crawling your pages, but not indexing them. But if you want to feel more confident that your site isn't being indexed, you might want to turn on "signin lock" or even "friends lock":

Have you guys gotten footprints from "New Jersey unknown" too?
-
I have been receiving footprints from this kind of thing, too.
-
Yes, I have footprints from "New Jersey unknown", "France - Exabot", and "Texas - OpenISearch". I get something from bots daily. That's regardless of whether I have a signin lock on or not and there's no way of blocking them. It's really annoying.

The New Jersey thread is off-topic. Please search for "New Jersey" and take it there, or start a new thread.
Thanks anaraug! I was about to post the same, after seeing it in my footprints.
