No - you typically do *not* need a Xanga account to leave comments.

If you visit the comments page of a particular post, you should see an option to leave an "anonymous" comment. That option will let you leave a comment without having a Xanga account.

A few exceptions

• Site owners can turn off this "anonymous" comment option - if you have a Xanga account, you can disable anonymous comments on your posts by changing your "comments" setting here:

• Community forums (like this new help system) do require signin for comments
