I tried to delete a subscription of someone I accepted as a friend. I still get the blogs at my private site. I'd rather not go to "war" with this person and I'm tired of reading his blog titles every time I use Xanga. How can I get rid of them?

Did you also delete the Friend connection as well as the Subscription?
Your inbox will show all updates from both Friends and Subs... so you have to delete both to clear your inbox of that person's updates!
