We get a lot of requests for Skins to be a free feature.  Unfortunately, we can't afford to give away Skins for free!

Skins are one of the very few features that we haven't put into Xanga Classic, our free offering.  The main reason is because Xanga Skins are expensive to support.  If we can make it easier to customize your site, then we may consider making Skins part of our Xanga Classic offering.

In the meantime, Xanga Skins will continue to be part of our Premium offering.

However, there are other ways to make your site look better without using a skin.  See this FAQ:
