I put some bad HTML or JavaScript into an old post, and now I can't delete it?!

If you post an entry with "bad" HTML or JavaScript, this can prevent your page from loading properly.

Fear not! You can delete a recent entry with bad HTML or JavaScript using Xanga's "safe mode" option:

http://edit.xanga.com/safemode.aspx

Here's what you do:

  1. Log into your Xanga site
  2. Visit the safemode page.
  3. Find the entry you want to delete in the section titled "Your Last 5 Posts". Typically, an entry with bad HTML or JavaScript is much longer than your other posts, and is densely packed with codes.
  4. Look to the left of your code and click on the appropriate DELETE IT link -- or click the EDIT IT link if you want to modify the entry to clean up your code.
  5. That's it! You're all set. Return to your regular private page to make sure everything's working.
