I used to love Xanga because it was free and I could connect with others who had similar interests. It's sad I can't do that anymore because you can't get your blog unless you pay for membership. Looking for blogs that you don't have to pay in order to post.

Xanga accounts will always be free. You'll be able to subscribe to sites, read your subscriptions and comment on sites for free.

Xanga blogs though, are switching to a paid membership. In return, you'll get all the features of WordPress combined with some extra features we'll be adding to the site over the coming months.

Over time, we hope to make more features available to our free members... but for now, Xanga's model is changing as described above.

If you're having trouble importing your archives into Wordpress please check this page out: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-xanga/

Thanks,
Eugenia at Xanga.com

I've been using Xanga since 2005 and have been happily using it to this day. Well, until everything changed. It kinda sucks that we have to pay $48 just to access our blogs again. Yes, I understand the archives are there. But I can't even import my posts onto Wordpress. Will Xanga be open for everyone again soon? I just don't want to lose any posts and would love to just read through them again. Nothing's like Xanga and I don't want to use anything else. I just want to read my stuff, man.
