How do I resize images in Xanga?
There are three ways you can make an image appear to be bigger or smaller on your Xanga site:
- Resize the original image. You can actually change the size of an image using one of the many image editing software programs out there, and then reupload the image to Xanga.
- Using Xanga's Image Resizing Wizard While Uploading. This lets you change the dimensions of the image to make it appear larger or smaller on your screen. Just input the desired image width (in pixels) and Xanga will automatically scale the image for you (we'll maintain the height/width aspect ratio so that your images won't appear distorted)!
Note that changing the dimensions of an image will not change the size of the image file.
-
Directly Editing HTML. If you'd like to resize in image that's already uploaded to a post, you can directly edit the HTML formating for that image by checking the EDIT HTML box in your Weblog Editor. Then, find the IMG tag for your image you'd like to resize. For example, let's say you had linked to a Xanga smiley using this HTML:
This would generate this image:
If you wanted this Xanga smiley in your post to be twice as large, you would double the width to increase it from 15 pixels to 30 pixels, like so:
This would generate this resized image:
