Description

This JavaScript code will let you replace certain words on your Xanga site that appear inside links. For example, after an entry, your Xanga site will have something like this:

This code lets you replace words so that instead of "80 eprops" or "43 comments", your Xanga page says "80 cents" or "43 hugs", or whatever you want! :-)

Please note that this script only works on words inside a link, such as the words "sign out" in this link: sign out. If you wrote the words "sign out" inside a regular blog post, this code wouldn't affect that phrase.

Directions

Step 1: Choose the words you'd like to replace on your Xanga weblog and enter them below

Step 2: Click the CREATE CODE button or click RESET to start over

Step 3: After your code is generated, click the GRAB TEXT button, copy the selected code into your clipboard, and paste it into the WEBSITE STATS section of your Xanga Look and Feel page.

  Use Control-C or Command-C to copy the text into your clipboard.

ATTRIBUTION

The original author of this script is Xanga's EasterEgg. FYI, he no longer responds to requests for script or HTML help.

Xanga then added to EasterEgg's code by making this "wizard" to let anybody customize EasterEgg's script even if you have no JavaScript knowledge.
