Why are there random links in my entries that I did not insert?
It sounds like there are spyware programs that found its way onto your computer. The removal of these programs has been known to fix this problem.
In general, this is how spyware programs work: as you browse the web, the spyware turns random words into links. These links then drive traffic to sites that pay the spyware company money. Please note that a spyware program functions only on the user's computer and can not be installed in Xanga itself. To ensure you do not have spyware on your computer, here are two programs that have been recommended for the problem:
Install these programs, run a scan, and remove the spyware programs on your computer and try blogging again.
After you run a scan using a anti-spyware program and clear all of your spyware, check your blog to see if there are any random links still appearing. If there are no random links, then your site is now clean! If you still see some random links though, there's a chance the spyware may have inserted the random links into your actual posts.
To fix this, sign in, click EDIT IT for that blog and then EDIT HTML in your Weblog Editor window. Finally, delete any extra code you did not put in (usually starts with "a href=....")
