If your current profile pic is linked from some other website, it will continue to work. But you won't see it in your Xanga Profile Editor or your Weblog Editor (in the "Choose »" popup that lets you "Choose a Profile Pic").

We've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to improve profile pics on Xanga. We've moved all the pics into a brand new storage system that allows faster pics, higher quality pics, and multiple profile pics for everyone!

To be able to support these new features (and build more cool features in the future), we need to make sure that all profile pics are uploaded to Xanga's servers, rather than "remotely linked" from some other website.
