I uploaded a new profile pic, but my site still shows my old profile pic...
There are two reasons why your "old" profile pic might still be showing:
- Your old pic is still your "Default" pic - no matter when you uploaded it, your Default Profile Pic is the one that'll appear on your main Xanga Site (and Xanga Community pages like your blogrings pages or the "Newly Updated" page).
If you upload a new profile pic and you want it to appear on your main Xanga site, just turn it into your Default Profile Pic:
- First go to your Profile Pic Manager:
http://www.xanga.com/private/profilepics.aspx
- Then find the pic you want to make your Default, and click the little "No" link over in the last (right side) column next to that pic.
- When prompted, "Are you sure you want to replace your current default?" Just click "OK" to turn that pic into your new default.
- You made your update during Xanga's "rush hour" - during Xanga's peak traffic hours, to keep the site as fast as possible, Xanga's servers start to batch-process certain types of updates, including changes to your profile.
If you edit your profile during this time, it may take a few minutes for the changes to appear on your public site. Please try waiting a few minutes to see if the changes appear.
