How do I turn off auto-approval of new members, so that new members have to apply to join?
If you are the leader then yes, you can turn off auto-approval of new members!
Sign into Xanga, and visit the blogring you'd like to moderate. If you're the leader, at the bottom of the left module you'll see some links that say:
Settings:
» Profile
» Approval
Go ahead and click on "Approval". There should be a setting labelled as:
Members: Automatically approve new members
The default setting is to "Yes". If you'd like to turn off auto-approval of new members, you can change the toggle to "No" and click on "Save Changes".
