I can see the image on my computer, but I can't see it on my friend's computer?!

Some users will write a post that includes links to images on their own computer. For example, a user might link to an image located something like this: C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\My Documents\My Pictures\picture.gif.

When that user visits his or her page while using that same computer, it will appear that the picture is now stored on Xanga. However, the picture is really only being stored on that computer, and that PC is the only computer that can actually see that picture. All the readers of that blog entry will thus only see a red X.

What's the solution?

Your image needs to uploaded to an Internet server in order for other visitors to be able to view the image. Even though your desktop or laptop computer may be connected to the Internet using a high-speed modem, other visitors won't be able to view your images unless you've uploaded your images to an Internet server.

You may be able to upload pictures to an Internet server using a free service. Click here to learn more.
