How can I add a cursor on my page?

You can customize your mouse cursor (the arrow that you use to navigate through your pages) in a few easy steps.

The first part is finding a cursor. We do not store cursors on Xanga. The best thing to do when you find a cursor you like, is to ask the owner of the site for the cursor's address or to search the web for cursors.

In order for the code below to work, you'll need to find a cursor address that ends with a ".cur" or an ".ani" Please note that the cursor MUST be hosted on a website outside of Xanga. For example, here's a cursor address that would be acceptable:

See how it ends with a ".cur"? That means its a cursor. You can find a cursor that fits your taste by searching on the web:

Or browsing around Xanga and finding someone with a nice cursor - and simply ask them for the address.

After you found a cursor that you like, simply insert it into this code below.

See the two places that begin with " http://www.boom.... "?  Replace the whole address with your new cursor address.  Your cursor should start the same way with a "http://" and end with a ".cur" or a ".ani"

Once done, copy your newly modified code and insert it in the custom header of your Look and Feel OR your Webstats section (if you want to keep your header) of your Look and Feel. You can access your Look and Feel by going here:

Do you see the section that says "Input your own Header HTML"? - you can put the cursor code in the box below

Or you can put it in your website stats box - look for the section that says "Website Stats" - just add the cursor code below your website code (if you have one).

Save your changes and you're done!

Although the above cursor will work for both Classic and Premium users, please note that javascript cursors will not work on your site, unless you have premium. Please visit our help page on our Javascript policy for more information: http://help.xanga.com/codes-jspolicy.htm
