To highlight words in a weblog entry, first log into Xanga, and open a weblog entry.  

Then, you need to turn on your EDIT HTML button for your weblog entry.

      Insert this code around the text you want to highlight:
      <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000">TEXT HERE</FONT> 

See the 000000 (Black) in the code? That designates the color - in order to find the color that you want, change that hex code- here a list of hexcode colors

Or you can find hex codes anywhere in the web by searching "Hex color codes."

So, for example, if you wanted to say "Xanga is cool" in yellow highlights, you would have:
     <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #FFFF00">Xanga is Cool!</FONT>

You can check your finished work by clicking EDIT HTML again and then SUBMIT.
