If you are the leader then yes, you can edit the description of your blogring!

Sign into Xanga, and visit the blogring you'd like to edit.  If you're the leader, at the bottom of the left module you'll see some links that say:

Settings:
» Profile
» Approval

Go ahead and click on "Profile".  Edit the description field, and then click on the "Save Changes" button.
