Why aren't my images showing up in my Subscription e-mails?
The reason why Xanga images aren't showing up in your Subscription e-mails is because your e-mail service or program may be blocking them. Unknown senders, like spammers, use images and links to verify that an email address is real. To prevent this, your program blocks these images and leaves it up to you to designate who's a 'safe sender' and who's not.
To allow Xanga images to appear in your e-mails, here are some instructions for major e-mail programs and services to allow external image viewing.
Microsoft Outlook
Yahoo Mail
Click Mail Options, then Spam Protection, and make sure in the section titled "Image Blocking" you select "Block images in messages that SpamGuard thinks are spam".
Then make sure Xanga is marked as "NOT SPAM". You can do that by finding any Xanga Subscription e-mails in your Spam folder (if it's not there, then its already considered NOT SPAM) and clicking "NOT SPAM" at the top of the e-mail.
Gmail
With the Xanga e-mail open, click 'Display External Images' under the sender's address at the top of your message.
Hotmail
Click 'OPTIONS' then 'Junk E-mail Protection' and then 'Safe List'. Add subscriptions@xanga.com to your Safe List.
Then Go back to your mail's 'OPTIONS' and then click "Mail Display Settings", make sure in 'Display Internet Images', "Display Images Automatically" is selected.
