Why doesn't my custom cursor work?

JAVASCRIPT CURSOR USERS

The reason why a custom cursor may not work is because the code may violate our Javascript policy. Because certain codes allow hackers to attack Xanga sites - we have banned some javascripts that can be harmful to our user's sites. For more information on our Javascript policy - go here:

As an alternative - we encourage you to use a CSS cursor code instead- here's a FAQ on how to add one:

CSS CURSOR USERS (users who followed our FAQ How to add a custom cursor)

There are several reasons why a cursor may not work after you added all the right codes.

If you're using a cursor hosted on a remote site (http://www.boom...) you're probably either being remote-blocked or the cursor has been taken off from their database.

Also make sure you're not linking to a gif or jpeg, the only acceptable cursor formats are "cur" and "ani" file types.

And finally, make sure you're using Internet Explorer as your web browser.  Custom cursors function best in Internet Explorer.
