If you display profile pics next to comments on your site, but your commenters don't have profile pics, then there may be a blank space where the profile pic would normally go.

Also, older comments (written before November 2004) might not have any profile pics, so it may look like those comments are pushed out to the right.

Xanga adds a little placekeeper box if there's no profile pic (so all your comments will be lined up). The border color of the box is the same as the "Trim" color from your "Look & feel" settings. If your trim color is the *same* as your background color, then you won't see the border, and that little placekeeper box will just look like a blank space.
